Psychiatric care for adults, teens and children — in person at our Laredo Medical Center office or by secure video from home.
In short: DaniCare Psychiatry is a psychiatry practice in Laredo, Texas, treating adults, teens and children for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, insomnia, OCD and PTSD, with medication management and psychiatric evaluations. Visits are in person at Laredo Medical Center (1700 E Saunders St, Suite B270) or by secure telehealth across Texas. Call (956) 266-8476.
A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who diagnoses and treats mental health conditions, and who can prescribe and manage medication. That is the practical difference from a therapist or counselor: therapy and medication are both on the table, and the medical side of the picture — sleep, thyroid, medication interactions, other health conditions — gets examined rather than assumed.
People usually come to us when something has stopped responding to willpower: worry that will not switch off, low mood that has outlasted the situation that started it, sleep that has been broken for months, focus that has never worked the way it should, or a first frightening panic attack.
If a condition needs care we do not provide, we will tell you plainly and point you toward what does.
Fill out the short form or call (956) 266-8476. Our team responds within one business day, confirms what your visit costs and checks your insurance before anything is scheduled.
A full conversation about symptoms, history, sleep, medical background, medications and what you want to change — not a ten-minute questionnaire.
Your psychiatrist explains what the findings mean and lays out options, including what happens if you would rather not start medication.
Follow-up visits track how treatment is working and adjust it. Most patients do these by video once the first visit is done.
Our office is inside Laredo Medical Center, 1700 E Saunders St, Suite B270. Telehealth appointments are available to patients located anywhere in Texas, and many patients mix the two — an in-person first visit, then follow-ups by video.

The shortage is not evenly spread: in much of Texas there is simply no psychiatrist to see.
